I desperately wanted to be an artist in grade school but was told I had no talent and should become a forest ranger instead. I tried again in college and was told I had “interesting” (with a sneer) color choices but no skills for fine art. My third attempt was as an adult taking college classes – I kept nearly passing out over my easel
I desperately wanted to be an artist in grade school but was told I had no talent and should become a forest ranger instead. I tried again in college and was told I had “interesting” (with a sneer) color choices but no skills for fine art. My third attempt was as an adult taking college classes – I kept nearly passing out over my easels. That’s when I realized I had serious health problems. Finally, when I became disabled & sofa-bound, I discovered on-line art and digital design classes. They became my comfort food.

I'm an art supply junkie: acrylics, watercolors, inks, and digital illustration tools. I love them all. I especially enjoy creating whimsical illustrations; designing patterns with a vintage feel; and playing with colors and textures.

I enjoy illustrating bizarre scenes; designing print on demand products and fabrics; and looking for beauty in hidden places. I gain inspiration from trees, birds, cats, biological systems, and holiday themes.
